-Frame with a sturdy back. This one is a scrapbooking frame from Michaels. I think it was about $8 full price, and it holds a 12x12 scrapbook page.
-Fabric (I used a fat quarter, you'll need about 14"x14"
-cotton batting
-Coordinating ribbon
-Hot glue gun
Start by layering the cotton over the frame backing and add the fabric on top. I used the piece of cardboard that came with the frame. A little lightweight, but worked well.
Glue the edges of the fabric to the back of the board, careful of the edges so they make a nice corner.
Now, just lay out the ribbon, gluing each piece to the back of the board. Make sure to keep them lined up while gluing, or it won't look so pretty. (Speaking from experience.) :)
I do one diagonal direction completely first, and then do the other side.
Slip it back in the frame and you're set! You can add an extra bit of fun by painting the entire frame, but I wanted this really simple, so I just added a few small flowers.
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet!!! Looks like the little flowers are rub on's or did you paint them? They add just the perfect touch. Thanks for linking up to How To Homemaker!

What a great idea! I have my daughter's bows hanging in her closet.. I think if we made a "frame" like yours she would wear them more often!
