Before and After- Little Box

This is another little crafty project I did with a box that my sister found at a garage sale for $10. Perfect for a little sewing box, or to hold on your hair stuff! Amazing what a little sanding and paint can do. :)

I used a turquoise and red interior paint for the base colors, ModPodged the yellow paper in the bottom of the drawers, and then used a very cool antiquing glaze to roughen it up a bit. (You can't really tell from the photos very well, but the edges are scuffed up.

I couldn't find a template for the flourish that was either big enough, or the right style that I was looking for, so I drew this one from some ideas that I found online. The nice thing about flourishes is that they don't have to be perfect.
